About The Tutor

Simon Hunter made his first film, Spaceman, at seven years old, and made nearly 50 short films before his 18th birthday for which he won awards.

One short, Wired, secured finance for the $2.5m Lighthouse which the New York Post called “one of the scariest low-budget movies of the year.” and "as suspenseful as anything in recent history.”)

Simon is represented by Infinity Productions in London for commercials and has directed 50+ commercials for major brands including British Airways, Coca Cola, Raindance Film Festival and the British Heart Foundation, and in 2001 was featured in the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors Showcase. This prestigious honour is awarded to the twenty-five most promising directors in the world.

Simon started to specialize in using visual effects to enhance rather than dominate his work. Simon was hired by Ed Pressman, producer of The Crow and Judge Dread to direct Mutant Chronicles. The production process would involve over 2800 visual effects shots (a British record) and take nearly two years to complete. The film is scheduled for release in 2008.

Robert Newman represents him at the Endeavor Agency in Los Angeles, one of the Top Five agencies world-wide.
