MOFILM and Raindance Announce Partnership for Mobile Film

11th February 2009, London, UK: MOFILM, the world’s biggest mobile film festival and Raindance.tv , the IPTV and networked community service for filmmakers and film fans alike today announced a partnership to collaborate for mobile content and film.

The MOFILM Mobile Short Film Festival is the biggest mobile film festival in the world with backing from the GSM Association. Founded in 2007 MOFILM highlights the increasing influence of the mobile medium on the entertainment industry, bringing together art, commerce and technology. MOFILM 2009 will be hosted by Kevin Spacey, two-time Academy Award winning actor and director (see www.mofilm.com).

Raindance.tv was established in 2008 as the online roll-out service for the well-established and iconic Raindance brand, discovering new film making talent and distributing their content across all digital platforms. The Raindance Film festival is now in its seveteenth year, and runs for twelve days and nights showcasing a diverse selection of short films, documentaries and fiction features as well as galas, master classes, live music and networking parties.

The 3rd MOFILM Festival takes place as part of the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from the 16th to the 19th of February 2009, with more than 50,000 visitors expected.
