Global One Competition Brief
Global One is a worldwide initiative to record five songs with local multi-platinum selling artists, each recorded in their native languages, in over 20 countries spanning 5 continents around the world.
This will be the first ever International project of its kind. We want to create a video to accompany a multi country launch of the first song ‘Lately’. All local country versions have been recorded and Global One will dub local versions of the song to the winning video after the final winner is chosen. One international version of the track will be provided to all filmmakers as the reference track.
Material Requirement
A single international video to accompany the song ‘Lately’ produced by Global One. The song is being recorded in approximately 20 countries as local language versions. The song is tracking at 2'56" long.
The brief is to produce a single ‘multi-country’ version of the video that will be synced to each local song.
Tone of Voice
Entertaining, endearing, enduring, visually interesting (to encourage multiple viewing)
The video should be suitable for viewing at any time of day, and by all ages.
Video Objectives
- To launch the song ‘Lately’ in each local country with local artist singing in local language
- The video should be visually compelling and endearing to encourage multiple viewing
Filmic technique (Comments/suggestions)
This is a global competition and the winning film will be played out against multiple versions of the track ‘Lately’. As such we are very open to different filmic techniques and styles being used, including all forms of animation. We are not limited to any format or style
We’ll be posting different examples of music videos which have inspired us – here is one example to start with.
Mandatory requirements
All materials must be usage, performing rights and copyright cleared for worldwide use.
The video should be suitable for viewing at any time of day, and by all ages.
