Which do you prefer?

I love television. I think it is the greatest creation ever. Movies are amazing, but you get attached to the characters and then after about 2 hours, they’re gone. With television, you can follow your favorite characters for years, if the ratings are good.

Television is equivalent to reading a good novel. You have to be invested in it in order to get to the end because they take up so much time. With a movie, you could watch an awful film, be done in an hour and a half, and not think twice about it.

But, of course, when it comes to art and powerful story telling, movies usually win out. When I think of a great film, the first thing that comes to mind is “Good Will Hunting”, which is a story better off told in film format. With that being said, however, Television has been getting some innovative new shows, like “Modern Family” and “Mad Men”.
