Hollywood couldn't be farther away, both metaphorically and literally, from my home in the great American midwest suburban Carmel, Indiana. The red carpets, designer label gowns, and beautiful people mesmerize me each and everytime I watch the award nights on E! from my sofa, typically in sweat pants. The lives of the celebrities on the TV were so different from my own, so glamorous. In my mind, they had it all.

In a matter of three short days, I will be at the red carpet that I have glorified
my entire life. Even better, it's not Hollywood. It is London. Being an intern at RaindanceTV allowed me to grasp one of the much coveted tickets to the British Independent Film Awards. This Sunday, December 6th, is the big night.

Looking through pictures from last year at BIFA, I was completely impressed. With the big winner of the night being one of my favorite movies, Slumdog Millionaire, my excitment for the night hit an all time high. As I continued to delve into the photo archives, I came across pictures of Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller, and countless major celebrities! Just add Jude Law and I'd be in heaven.

Now all I have to worry about is the perfect outfit...
