Money doesn’t grow on trees
Perhaps, if you find leprechaun’s pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, you wouldn’t have to worry about budget for your film. But, for most of us, money is one of the biggest obstacles when it comes to creating films.
Avatar: $237 million
Spider-Man: $258 million
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End: $300 million
Titanic: $200 million
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: $200 million
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: $250 million
X-Men: The Last Stand: $210 million
Big-scale films cost A-LOT. Period.
But, who’s to say we need to make big-scale, high-budget films? Low-budget independent films have proven to be successful as well.
Napoleon Dynamite: $400,000!
Super Size Me: $65,000
The Blair Witch Project: $35,000
Colin: £45 Can you believe it?
See, money is important but maybe a few less digits on the payroll can be a good idea too.
